LPNs Headquarters garden receives gardeners from the MFR Sainte Bazeille

Through KASA PT – Kapacity, Adaptability, Solidarity, Adventure, LPN hosted for two weeks, two final year students of the Gardening, Landscaping and Green Spaces course, from MFR Sainte Bazeille (Maison Familiale Rurale Sainte Bazeille), France.

The MFR Sainte Bazeille is an associative professional school, which belongs to the MFR national network that manages hundreds of educational establishments in France, and organizes curricular internships that are part of the Erasmus + Pro mobility.

The garden at LPN's headquarters was the workplace of Esteban Buhagiar and Gabriel Ferreira, where they applied their knowledge about pruning and maintenance of green spaces in an outstanding manner every day.

In Esteban words "I really appreciated the garden, in its free and wild style. The autonomy and consideration of our professional status offered by the LPN team were crucial in the smooth running of our work here, our relations with the team and our integration during our short stay in Portugal. Thank you, Esteban."

Gabirel shared with us "This 'internship' gave me the experience of being able to work in almost total autonomy, the power to work according to my desires, following the rules set by our internship master Inês. I was able to discover a new way of working, as a team of two. Some activities proposed by Inês made us discover the protection of pollinating insects. The garden is very beautiful, with a great difference of plants, each with their needs and "gifts" to this site. This garden is to be used for presentation to schools, so the work done was all oriented to this end. The kindness and the understanding, that the occupants of this garden (LPN) spread, facilitated our integration and work during these two weeks. Thank you, Gabriel Ferreira."

Island for pollinators

In addition to all the work of maintaining the space, they were able to observe some of the trees in our garden that represent so well our landscape, such as the oaks, carob, arbutus, myrtle, among others.
