Algarve Oil Free Platform

The Algarve Oil Free Platform (PALP) is a movement created following the initiative of a group of citizens and entities, which has been incorporating several entities over time, and which is open to participation and involvement of all citizens and entities who want to join to defend a Sustainable Algarve and against oil exploration in the region.

This platform aims to alert the population to the risks’ inherent of hydrocarbon exploration in the Algarve, to encourage a public debate on the consequences for the region of such a decision, to demand a social, economic and environmental impact study and also to press the government to publish all the information regarding prospection, research, development and production of oil and natural gas in Portugal.
